Re: Shadow Witchcraft
Fri, November 23, 2007 - 2:32 PMShadow Witchcraft encompases the traditions of celtic, faery, native american, norse, egyptian, greek, green and alexandrian. how do i say this . . . okay for me, shadow witchcraft uses the energy of the darkness in my life. our coven has a saying " from the drakness comes the light, and we are the light." this means that no matter what dark place you are in your life, you can use its energy to bring about good, love and peace and still be considered dark. see i worship dark deities but i am not evil. i am neither good or bad, i believe in shades of grey. because nature is both loving and cruel, magick is neither white nor black but it is what is in the heart of the witch that creates the outcome of the magick. because you can do good but with evil intetions in your heart.
Does this explain it for ya'll -

Tue, November 27, 2007 - 8:01 AMDid you feel you had to explain because you had no takers?
Dark, light, black, white - magic has no color. It's all in the intent of the user, what they like to do and how they like to do it.
As humans, everything is shades of grey, because none of us are perfectly good and none of us are perfectly evil.
It sounds like you embrace a great deal of Wicca, but not much else - can you clarify that? Personally, Wicca holds no appeal for me, so I'm curious what other types of witchcraft you recognize and accept. in your group. -

Re: Shadow Witchcraft
Wed, November 28, 2007 - 2:52 PMif i embraced wicca then i would believe in the rede and the threefold law. i dont because i am responsible for my own actions. the only reason why i explained it is cause i got a personal message from someone that asked me to. hey if u saw shadow witchcraft you'd think twice too, right. and i say shades of grey because magick, nature and even we humans are neither good or evil. i said that it is what's in the heart of the witch that determines the outcome of the magick. hmmm seems like i follow wicca huh? i didnt know what wicca was until i was in high school and i was practicing before that, i've never had anyone say that to me before. thanx for pointing that out. -

Re: Shadow Witchcraft
Wed, November 28, 2007 - 3:02 PMsorry i miss and hit it before i was done lol. we accept all paths because all paths go to the divine no matter what you personally worship. the shadow coven family is 4 different covens with 4 different tradtions. first there are the shadow traditions.
1. Shadow Tradition - a mixture of Faery, Celtic, Native American, Norse, Egyptian, Greek, Green, and Alexandrian
2. Shadow Norse - a mixture of Asatru, Skaldi and Odinist
3. Shadow Wolf - a mixture of Japanese Shinto, Native American, and Norse
and the last tradition is Traditional Wicca, this tradition is in a new hived coven and if our members hive off they can choose to follow whatever they want .
to go with my earlier comment, i was raised by a bear medicine woman (my grandmother) and she tells me to this day "we are responsible for the actions we do in this world or the next. make each action worthwhile and honorable but, remember too much of either good or bad will through off the balance that each of us have. u must always keep yourself in balance whether it be in your magick or even your life." that is what shadow witchcraft truly means. a perfect balance of dark and light.

Wed, November 28, 2007 - 9:40 PMHmm. Sounds like a label for how I've been all my life - at least since age 3 or 4.
Grandmothers are wise folk - mine said similar.
