The day before day during and day after are vary special the honoring the sun coming out of its cave but
Enjoying the essence of the winter to come and wash away and cleans all that is.
Nothing like a good lightning storm and rain to clean my crystals
I would love to here what others do and think of the winter solstice

Summer solstice is for me an extraverts high holiday! when winter solstice is more privet I have always done this one by my self
Gone inward to my darkest regions in side to prepare for the New Year.

Wicca vs. Witchcraft

Wicca and Witchcraft are not the same thing. Wicca is a form of Witchcraft, just as Mormon is a form of Christianity. Not all Christians follow Joseph Smith’s book of Mormon, just as not all people who practice forms of Witchcraft are Wiccan.
Where does this misconception, that all Witchcraft is Wicca stem from? Authors and people just new to Wicca, the Occult, Witchcraft, and so on. Just like when you hear born again Christians, the new entry ones who don’t know jack about their own religion, going around saying “if it wasn’t for Jesus, you wouldn’t be here.” my response “umm, no… if it wasn’t for God I wouldn’t be here. The Christ and God are two different things my deluded friend.” You usually hear new Wiccans saying, they stole this, and this is ours and that’s ours. Pretty much every religion that’s not Christian, that worships a Goddess of one form or another has to be some form of the Original Wicca.
How does this misconception come about? Well I will show you, via quoting a book:
Soraya’s Book of Spells, page 25 under “Is Wicca a new religion” and the quote is as follows:
“Wicca or paganism is not a religion at all. Wicca is a Goddess based belief system that can be dated back 25,000 years.”
Now I will pull this apart, just to show you the problems with this quote.
1. “Wicca or paganism” - The terms Wicca and Paganism, just like the terms Wicca and Witchcraft, are not one in the same. Wicca is merely a form of Neo-Paganism. The modern definition for the word Pagan, is someone that is not of the mainstream faiths, which are “Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Hindi”. I’m pretty sure the Zoroastrians don’t follow Wiccan practices, and their a pagan religion.
2. “is not a religion at all.” - Well in one part she is right, Paganism is not a religion, it’s a term to define a whole lot of religions, but Wicca itself is a religion. Though in the Gardnerian Book of Shadows it says you are supposed to not claim Wicca as a religion, rather say all witchcraft is evil. The structure of Wicca itself, is what classes it as a religion.
3. “Wicca is a Goddess based belief system” - NO! *SLAP* NO! BAD MONKEY! Wicca is not just Goddess based, sure there were, and probably still are, the feminist Dianic Wiccans who removed the God, for what ever reason, but I don’t consider it Wicca, so it is not of too much concern. Why not? because Wicca was about balance, and its main representation of this was in its deities. Having a High Priestess and High Priest, who was the High Priest meant to be acting out in the Great Rite, if there was no male deity. All summed up: Wicca has a Goddess and a God. Not just one or the other.
4. “that can be dated back 25,000 years.” - Really? Wow… 25,000? Really? I’m pretty sure the 1950’s weren’t that long ago. Gerald Gardner created Wicca in the 1950’s just after the laws against Witchcraft in England were lifted. He claimed his religion “Wicca” to be from a secret Witch Cult which survived the burning times and so on. The Scholars then took to Wicca, and pulled it to pieces finding the truth about this, apparently “Old” religion, finding his texts to be influenced by English and Celtic Folk-lore, the Enochian system of John Dee, Thelema, the Golden Dawn, Stregaria, Tantric Yoga, the King James Version of the Holy Bible and even Kipling. The rest was made up by him as he went along, and was estimated to be wrote between 1949 and 1961.
I know this really rips the undies of new Wiccans. Their eyes unwillingly pried open, trust me it hurts, it happened to me. I spent six months researching what I believe to be Wicca only to find a website, which no longer exists called “WhyWiccansSuck” it broke my heart, but as I researched its claims, I quickly found it to be true.

It just occurred to me that since I am not on tribe very much lately (seems it is down more often than not), it may not be appropriate that I am the moderator of our tribe. I became moderator simply because our former moderator left tribe.net without warning and we needed a moderator. I love it here, but it isn't really fair if I don't visit often.

illegalities of using divinatory tools in a public setting..?

It may sound silly, but if using any form of a divinatory tool ( tarot, pendulum, speaking board, etc )
in a public setting ie.. outdoors in a park, cafe, library, etc.. would there be grounds for it to be illegal
and cause for problems?

just curious as I find myself wanting to practice using my tools in some public places..some where there may be
quite a few people.

Wiccan Kittens Need Forever Homes

We have six beautiful, healthy, and very precocious kittens - almost eight weeks old; their mother was a semi-feral calico that we tempted to come inside when she was about 3 weeks pre-delivery, and they have been inside in a nursery-like setting since that time. The kittens are socialized to people, and have been raised in a house with lhasa apsos, but are isolated - they know what dogs are but have no experience with them. They are very trusting, so beware until and unless you know exactly what a dog’s reaction will be.

They are litter box trained and weaned, raised with their mother in the nursery; they are “inside” kittens – they have not yet been exposed to the outside. Raised with love and total freedom by two lesbian witches, they are fearless and very playful, yet mellow and loving. Born on March 27 at the new moon, they will protect and warm your soul, for they know no other way. They are also very helpful around the house: they can use the computer, make catcalls on the phone, and they know how to use the remote control for the television…oh, and yesterday they learned how to throw runes!

1. One ginger cream tom with short hair and green eyes; an old soul we call Ginger Baker, or CeCe after Cynde’s mom who passed earlier in the year…and yes, she came back as a male!
2. One silver grey female with long hair and grey-green eyes; an old soul we call Luthien Tinuviel.
3. One calico female with long hair and green eyes; an old soul we call old Rheata Mae after one of our mothers, who passed away the night the kittens were born. (Dawna’s mother was partial to calicos, and we truly believe this soul is her mother.)
4. One silky, black longhaired tom with six-toed paws (almost a seventh toe!), with blue green eyes; an old soul we call Silk. This is by far our favorite of the horde…or, Dawna’s favorite, anyway!
5. One black/white medium haired female, with white, six-toed paws, white marking on her forehead, and green eyes; an old soul we call Mittens.
6. One black/white medium haired female, also with six-toed white paws, no marking on her forehead but she is white-chested with green eyes. She is very good at finding hidden things, and is an old soul we call Charlize.

Please respond if you are able to provide a good home to one of these kittens, or reach out to your friends and family for us…these Wiccan kittens need a good home that is warm and safe. In return for love they will provide fun, laughs and protection.

Ephemeral Mists is the newest side project by composer Brett Branning (The synthetic dream foundation & Abandoned Toys). The debut album, "Moon Ritual" is out now on Mythical records.

The sound of the project is best described as downtempo ambient electronics mixed with ethnic world musics in the vein of "Karma" era Delerium, Amethystium, and Dead Can Dance. Its really a very intoxicatingly beautiful creation and I highly recommend it to anyone into ambient music styles.

I've been down on my luck & really depressed. I have no friends @ work, & friends that I thought I had abandoned me & my love life pretty much sucks! I keep looking on the bright side, saying things will get better but they supprising get worse in ways I wish not 2 discuss. Im not attracting negative things in my life but I tried an aura cleanse but nothing happened. Is any1 willing 2 share a spell that may turn around my luck. Thank u.

Palin Blessed To Be Free Of Witchcraft

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - A grainy YouTube video surfaced Wednesday showing Sarah Palin being blessed in her hometown church three years ago by a Kenyan pastor who prayed for protection from "witchcraft" as she prepared to seek higher office.

The video shows Palin standing before Bishop Thomas Muthee in the pulpit of the Wasilla Assembly of God church, holding her hands open as he asked Jesus Christ to keep her safe from "every form of witchcraft."

"Come on, talk to God about this woman. We declare, save her from Satan," Muthee said as two attendants placed their hands on Palin's shoulders. "Make her way my God. Bring finances her way even for the campaign in the name of Jesus. ... Use her to turn this nation the other way around."

Palin formally announced her bid for governor a few months later, in October 2005.

Palin does not say anything on the video and keeps her head bowed throughout the blessing. The Republican vice presidential candidate was baptized at the church but stopped attending regularly in 2002.

A spokesman for the McCain campaign declined to comment. A person who answered the phone at the Wasilla church confirmed the video was from May 2005 but declined further comment.

Palin was baptized Roman Catholic as a newborn.

Pentecostals are conservative in their reading of the Bible. Unlike most other Christians — including most evangelicals — Pentecostals believe in "baptism in the Holy Spirit." That can manifest itself through speaking in tongues, modern-day prophesy and faith healing, which includes the laying on of hands.

Maria Comella, a spokeswoman for the McCain-Palin campaign, has said Palin attends different churches and does not consider herself Pentecostal.

Obama supporters please read

Perhaps it is bold of me to assume that there is a majority of Obama supporters in this tribe, but you know....i just have a hunch.

And i have a plan.

Beyond voting against McCain, which is of course the obvious thing to do, i would like to strongly suggest that we put our magickal intentions together and work on a magickal level to help Obama win the election.

I have been thinking a lot about this and wondering if i could somehow initiate a synchronized group ritual all across the country. The election occurs just a few days after the New Moon, so perhaps a nationwide meditation and ritual on October 29th at the New Moon, setting the intention for Obama to be victorious in the election.

I intend to do this myself, and the more people who join me, the better.

Whatever your chosen path or style of ritual, be sure to include an image of Barack Obama and maybe something blue, like a candle. I think the timing is the key factor, so that we are all directing our energies at the same time.

I know that Sarah Palin relies on spiritual guidance through her pastor and you never know what forces may be assisting the republican party (ok, so maybe you DO know about the reptilians...) so it would be wise for us to counter these occult influences with some of our own. If there is enough support for my idea, i will start a tribe for it, so please post here with your feedback and ideas.

Studies have shown that prayers for people work.

I'm desperate. My partner has cancer. It's spreading to his spine and could leave him paralyzed, it's already made him bed bound.

Radiation was planned, but his kidneys are not working right now. He is too ill for dialysis and a transplant is out of the question.

The doctor's are not offering any hope at this time.

I would like to ask for people to please take a moment to pray for Michael, that the tumors stop spreading, that his kidneys start functioning again and that he can survive this without any more pain.

A Very Mixed Emotional Day

I put my beloved familiar to sleep around two a.m. today. He was 15 and a half years old. He had lived a very long life, full of love and good memories. But what hurt he and I the most, is how our now physical seperation affects the bond we have between us. He and I are a part of each other's souls, and I know over time, this deep mutual grief will lessen as he and I will get used to his new spiritual status. Just right now , we miss each other terribly. Yet, at the same time I knew/know as did/does he, that his passing onto a new spiritual world is a time for celebration and that we should be happy that it has happened. I experienced, a great joy, when I felt his soul leave his physical body and emerge into the new spiritual plane....I think, at first he was in awe and taken aback, but he is now feeling the great joy too.

But I swear, the most heartbreaking moment for me, was when I was leaving the ER vet and was in the parking lot and about to get into the car to go home. I saw, felt, and heard his spirit running after me, the way his physical body did when he was a young adult and in his prime and wanting to play. He was wanting me to not leave without him, he wanted to come home, the way he always would when he had to go to the vet in the past while his physical body was alive. So with my inner tears under control, I immediately turned and faced him with a smile, and told him everything would be alright, and he would see that for himself. I told him to go find his other deceased feline friends (my other kitties he had known while alive and who had passed away before him), and they would now keep him company and get him settled in on the other side. I said they were waiting for him to come to them, and he had to let us part. And that once he was situated, he was welcome to visit me anytime, I said "Jackie, mon petit (my little one), I will always be here waiting for you, I promise...I promise," and then I got into the car and drove home.

Wiccan Accidentally Stabs Herself in Foot With Sword During Good Luck Ritual

LEBANON, Ind. — A woman accidentally stabbed herself in the foot with a 3-foot-long sword while performing a Wiccan good luck ritual at a central Indiana cemetery.

Katherine Gunther, 36, of Lebanon, pierced her left foot with the sword while performing the rite at Oak Hill Cemetery, police said.

Gunther said she was performing the ceremony to give thanks for a recent run of good luck. The ceremony involves the use of candles, incense and driving swords into the ground during the full moon.

Gunther said was aiming to put the sword in the ground, but hit her foot instead.

"It wasn't the first time I performed the ritual, but it was the first time I put a sword through my foot," she said.

Gunther immediately pulled the sword out of her foot, and her companions took her to Witham Memorial Hospital, where she was kept a couple days for treatment.

No charges were filed, police said. The Wiccans were warned that being in the cemetery in the city about 20 miles northwest of Indianapolis after posted visiting hours constitutes trespassing.

I just recently came across this album "The witch's garden" by Abandoned Toys and it is one of the most exquisitely beautiful, new age - pagan music albums I have come across in recent years. Apparently, they use alot of the golden ratio in their tunings and harmonies. If you don't already own a copy, I highly recommend picking up one. I think they have clips at their website here:

How to Become A Witch in Nine Easy Lessons
by Don McLeod

In the 1980's it was fashionable to be interested in the New Age. This is now a dreadful faux pas within the alternative scene, and in order to be accepted in the 21st century metaphysical social set, one must have an interest in Witchcraft or Paganism. Of course, you don't have to actually belong to a coven in order to be thought of as a Witch, you can bluff your way into being accepted as a fully fledged Witch simply by knowing a few terms and dressing accordingly. This brings us to...

Rule # 1: Image is Everything. After all, what's the good of being a Witch if nobody knows you are one? You must therefore wear black at all times. If possible, stay out of the sun until you become really pale, as this makes the effect even better. For women (and adventurous males) dark eyeliner and black nail polish can enhance this look. Also wear crystals and cheap occult paraphernalia at all times, and make sure that these are as gaudy and bizarre as possible, as this can only help your image. Wearing a pentacle around your neck is an absolutely necessary accessory - the bigger the better! Capes and cloaks are optional around town - it depends on how much of a visual impact you want to make, but either of these are also crucial apparel at any ritual or gathering that you may attend.

Rule # 2: Name Dropping is Good. Every serious student of The Craft (and I'm talking here about the term for Witchcraft, not macrame) knows the name Gerald Gardner. This man revitalised Witchcraft in the mid 1900's with his book about the true history of The Old Religion (some have called this book pure fiction, but only those picky few who like books to be based on facts). Real Witches however, never let historical accuracy get in the way of their spiritual path, so in conversations with other Witches, quote his name as often as possible (in tones of awe) and you will always be rewarded with smiles of acceptance.

Rule # 3: Past Life Name Dropping is Even Better. Tell everyone about the past life memories that have been surfacing since you began studying the Black Arts. It is especially useful to remember a past lifetime as a Witch who was killed during the Inquisition, or at least recall a lifetime as a famous occultist. My past lives have included Aleister Crowley, Cagliostro, Mandrake the Magician, and most of the cast of "Bewitched".

Rule # 4: Behave Strangely. Never forget why it was that you wanted to become a Witch - yes, so that you have an excuse for strange behaviour. Previously labelled eccentric behaviour patterns can now be accepted by others if they have a reason to explain it, even if that reason for howling at full moons while naked is simply, "He/she is a Witch, that's normal for them evidently." So, don't let your friends down, behave strangely, you can get away with it now.

Rule # 5: Watch Occult Movies. Make sure that you watch the movie "Warlock" lots of times to perfect those soft landings after over-indulging with the flying ointments (read as mead and weed).

Rule # 6: Ready Yourself for Sex, Money and Power. Wasn't this the other reason you were drawn to Witchcraft? In the past, adepts of the occult were known to possess charismatic, lusty and powerful personas - when people find out that you are a Witch, they may automatically assume (and therefore empower you) with these same qualities. This may sound pretty good, but unfortunately in today's world, another group of people have become even more established within the realms of kinky sex sessions and unlimited power - yes, the politicians! Beware of this elitist group of power-brokers...they don't want any competition to their manipulative monopoly over the gullible public - hence the laws against Witchcraft and divination that have remained unchanged for centuries. So, if calling yourself a High Priest doesn't lead you to unlimited sex, money and power - or if it does, but you then find yourself as the target of political and legal harassment - you may have to put aside your cloak and broomstick and pick up a pin-stripe suit and a back-bench in Parliament. If you can't beat them, try bribery, then if that doesn't work...join them!

Rule # 7: Atmosphere is Essential. Your home must reflect your Witchy nature. Incense must burn continuously. It's important that visitors see clouds of incense smoke billowing from a spluttering censer in the corner of your dim, dank and dusty home, so dismantle the smoke detectors and start collecting strange little bottles of exotic looking ingredients (use your imagination and label them with names like powdered bat's eyes, or dried dragon's gonads). And if you don't like housework, you can explain that the layer of dust that covers your floors and furniture helps to neutralise the highly charged psychic energy that results from your magical spells, thereby protecting your home and possessions from electromagnetic disintegration.

Rule # 8: Be Patronising to Christians. In social discussions don't forget to make plenty of derogatory remarks about fundamentalist Christians, but remember to save your most biting comments for other Witches that you don't get along with.

Rule # 9: Brag About Your Psychic Powers. Any self-respecting Witch will tell you that after their initiation to Witchcraft, their psychic powers awakened and their tarot cards (which they always carry with them) are now much easier to read (they now get something right once in a while). They will also tell you that they can now sense energy fields (in other words, they don't bump into things as often as they used to). Follow this example and brag about the rapid development of your psychic abilities since your initiation. If asked about your initiation ceremony, simply state that you were sworn to secrecy about it, then quickly change the subject by mentioning your newly awakened ability to detect Ley-lines, but try to remember that a Ley-line is not a queue for the after-ritual orgy!

Now you know how to pass yourself off as a real Witch, so place that broomstick in a conspicuous corner (one that is not clouded by too much incense smoke); pull on those black clothes; give everyone that you meet a sinister look - and your social status will improve overnight. If you do all of this successfully, you may even find yourself with enough adoring acolytes so that you can start your own coven! Good luck and Blessed Be!

the subject of this podcast will be of sufficient interest to the
subscribers to this list to warrant inclusion.

I produce the Celtic Myth Podshow (http://celticmythpodshow.com) which
is a free MP3 download and aims to tell the stories of Celtic
mythology to its listeners. We have started with the Irish
Mythological Cycle and aim to cover all of the Six Nations in the
series. The by-line of the show is "Bringing the Tales and Stories of
the Ancient Celts to your Fireside" which is the atmosphere we would
like to create. The old legends were recounted orally and only written
down in later years, so by hearing them told we are getting a step
closer to their original presentation and hopefull, meaning. That's
the theory anyway :)

Beltaine In The Grove Registration Now Open!- A new NW area Festival!

Merry Meet! Anyone whom is interested in a fun, magical ritual and camping festival for Beltaine, check out our site, www.beltaineinthegrove.org.
We are a small group of family and friends whom have been working magically speaking for a number of years and have wanted to do our own Beltaine, and now we are. We would love to have others join us and meet more of our community at large. This is a traditional Beltaine with dancing the may pole, a May Queen and May King- with all the trappings and cavorting that entails! As this is a new festival we need more musicians, drummers, dancers, fire eaters, contortionists, and anyone else whom wants to join. This is also "family" oriented where children may come (with a parent/ guardian), but the celebration at the Main Fire, Bardic Circle and Tantric Temple can go on through the night! Looking for Guidance

I've dabbled in spell work before, I know it's not for the amateur and should not be taken lightly, what little I did try seemed to work a small amount, but I seek training.

I'm a university grad, which should tell anyone, that I'm not afraid of putting in the effort and the hard work. What little I could find in books, and on the internet, that wasn't complete garbage I read. But I'm hoping for so much more. I've always felt the world around us was live and awake, waiting for us to interact with its energies and

I'm not asking for a miracle, just someone who's willing to challenge me and teach me on how to practice and grow with the world around me.

I found out today that someone I love and care about is sick. She is barely 3 years old and her mom, my cousin, found a lump on her jaw, and the hospital determined it is lymphoma.
Please anyone and everyone reading this, pray for her, and send blessings for her. If anyone knows a blessing ritual for something like this please send it to me. I'm 7 hours away at college, but anything I can do from her is worth it. She's only a baby, and noone should suffer like that.

intro and request for help

Merry met, and many blessings. The Divine in me recognizes the Divine in you!
I'm a Giamancer, a Shamanic-witch, a Walker of the Green-path, and a psychonaut. Back in September I moved to a small island off the grid, and as crazily hard as it has been, it's a beautiful life. With a recent break-up, life has been pretty shaken up for me, but I mostly feel really happy and see massive potential, feel manifestations on the way, and know I'm on my personal destiny path. The problem is that I've been having a lot of problems finding work on the little island and a new place to live is slow in manifesting.... and something shifted a couple of days ago and I've been thinking of moving back to Victoria, BC (the other place my heart calls home). I've been trying to get in touch with what my heart is telling me, but there are so many uncertainties that I'm pretty confused as to what's best.

I don't mind having faith that the path before me is in mystery, but would like to been able to see the signs before me. Both areas have great potential for me, I just would like more clarity on which 'home' is for me in the present (I can always go back to my life in the woods on that little island at a latter time).

Anyway, my focus right now, and the request for help, is that:

Through the wisdom of the Divine in all It's forms,
Through the guidance of fearies and guardians,
Through the signs and messages I find in Nature,
I seek clarity of the heart,
I seek the awareness of vision in dreams and Nature,
I seek quick manifestation of the best housing for where I need to be most.
I am connected to my tribe through the love of the Source, and know that they all want the best for me.
Through projection of positive intent, and with the goal of greatest good,
By my will, and the will of the Source,
So mote it be!

I also do handfastings and teach pagan high school for all who want to learn, I feel it's sometimes better than being confused on the internet because there's just so much out there that is incorrect or just plain silly. I have 4 kids of my own and a grandbaby who is my sunshine. I also belong to the flamekeepers of Brighid, as that is my celtic roots. Hey all you pagan faire goers! Help!

Folks,

It has been a toughie last end of the year for this one. Just before samhain my step-mum crossed over. Buried her before Thanksgiving. Now having to be over at my dads home 3-4 days a week, looking after him, and already dealing with other problems. Lost the vision in my left eye. Had to postpone weight loss surgery. Having to deal with worthle4ss free advice of mid western relatives.

Not sure if I can work Southern Faire. Money issues, student loans,( just got my Master's Degree), and relatives wanting me to move in with my dad, which would really be the death of me! And i mean it, all ways socially, spiritually and means of privacy. I've told my relatives it ain't happening. I will be there a few days weekly, but not moving to an area and jsut leave behind where i've been anchored and know where everything is.

These people act like it's so fucking easy to do that. just pick up, leave and move somewhere where you have nothing in common with. OK, let one of them leave Missouri and do that. Faire is where I live, and don't see these people except at Faire. So, I might see if i can change my schedule, because I will NOT attend as a customer.

could use some spiritual uplifting to the God/dess/es for a little (actually a hell of a lot) help and assistance, and wisdom here, folks. Help!!!!!

Convocation

Convocation is an awesome Pagan Convention that happens in Michigan. It is a four day convention from Thursday evening to Sunday afternoon. This year it is February 21-24. Registration is $60 which is a bargain; hotel rooms are $89. I've gone to this convention the past three years and had an excellent time. The website is www.convocation.org. The schedule is up so you can see what kind of classes they are offering this year. Friday and Saturday night they hold the biggest drum circle I've ever taken part in (Drumming to Spiritual Ecstasy). There is a Masquerade Ball on Saturday night that everyone dresses up for; they have DJ spinning dance music. Mateyo Empie is an excellent teacher; she does the Pervuian Fire Ceremony and the Cone of Power both of which are very powerful rituals. I've always heard the Gnostic Mass is well done but never had a chance to go. They hold a men's and women's ritual at the same time. I've attended the women's ritual the past two years and have had very moving experiences. They choose a different theme each year by pulling a random card out of a tarot deck. This year's theme is the Temperance card.

life after tribe

there has been a lot of talk about whether the recent outages here on tribe are foreshadowing the closing of tribe or something. I have heard that they are terribly understaffed (5-8 employees).

Anyway, I don't know if anything will happen, but some folks have started up groups on www.ning.com. They are social networks, so each network is kinda like tribe. I don't understand the navigation very well yet, but while looking around, I stumbled upon a place called www.paganspace.net that has a lot of nice folks and discussions. I think paganspace.net is the social network because I found it while looking at a group called "Cooking with Witches".

A couple of nice features are that you can customize your page and have videos, etc and you can edit and delete your comments in a discussion.

I'm not sure it is as easy to navigate as tribe, but it's a nice place to be if tribe goes away.

cleansing spell

I am a bit "rusty" in the Wicca ways.
Does anyone have a good book too they would recommend for someone like myself who has been "rusty" for awhile? Refresher of sorts?

My name is Ren and I am a solitary practicioner in Montréal, QC, Canada. I found this tribe and knew it was for me, so I wanted to give a shout out to everyone here (and everyone who will come after me). I am sure I will have questions that will need amswering, and would love to be able to post my questions and get responses from you all. I have not been practicing Wicca / Paganism for a long time, but have always know that I was a witch. I hope we are able to bring this wonderful way of living into the light, as it has been degraded by Christianity, unknowing teenagers (i was one of them a while back) and hollywood movies. Many people do not truly understand Paganism / Wicca, and therefore are afraid of it. I know this tribe is one of peace and there is no intentional harm done on or by the part of anyone.

Hot. Red pepper tamale hot. My god, she was so flaming hot I had to strip down naked, roll in the reeking mud like a wild hog to staycool, until even the fetid bog dried up and turned to graveyard dust. I then felt compelled to give up the proverbial ghost, leaving my bones to bleach white in the scorching heat of the Great Mother's alchemical furnace. What sort of cake would she bake next? What tasty stew would her cauldron brew? Only the thermophiles knew a sure future. For all the rest of flesh the chances for sustainable survival were not much more than a beggar's zilch as the temperatures climbed and the surface sparked, ignited, quickly combusting, leaving behind blackened charcoal, gray ash, and a thickening atmosphere filled with poisonous heat trapping CO2.

Purification by fire the Hopi prophesized and sure as shootin' they weren't just tootin' the horns of street corner apocalypse. This is the real thing. Turn on the air conditioner, fire up another power plant to handle the load, dump tons of CO2 into the atmosphere raising the temperature some more so we have to turn up the air conditioner, which requires higher output from the power plant, which spews more CO2 in a vicious circle spiraling out of quasi-human control. Ah, for the life of a mole …

We might have done better to leave well enough alone and maybe learn to build homes underground and gardens on top. But no, we aspired to bend the Great Mother to our will and testament, harness her to the wagon of industry, and make huge raping profits off the spoils of biosphere exploitation. What an artificial nation! Take a vacation and see her fading beauty before she dries up shriveled into the "hag at the crossroads" where we sit like poisonous toads dumping our loads before expiring along with the water hole. The deepest wells were finally sucked dry. We doomed ourselves while blaming everything and everyone else for our errors.

Do you dream reality? Does reality dream you? There is no actual escape. Fantasy departs when the grid goes down and we are left in the dark fending for ourselves. The whole city is a ghetto and much of the countryside is either owned and operated by fast food corporations and paved suburban malls or is another dried up gene modified mega farm powered by the self-consumption of biofuels, fed on the byproducts of dwindling crude oil. Where are the backyard organic gardens? Is there a backyard to garden and, if so, why aren't we busy replacing the well mowed lawns?

My videogame cell phone oracle has no sane answers. Answers are for sissies. We're planning on toughing and bluffing our way through the blistering reality straight into the lake of fire, stopping to roll like hogs in the mire before we expire and are discarded like burnt black toast. We call it the Great Mother's Roast which reminds the dead church of it's dark history of witch and faggot burning. Who needs midwives, herbal healers, and sane people of nature when there are cities to build, a population to control, and a Book of Revelation to fulfill? Sell them the swill. Give the masses bread and circuses
and wars of terror to entertain and consume a portion of the expendable overpopulation. Salute your damned nation. Remain at your appointed station.

Whatever you do you may not combine talents and resources for mutual aid and support. If you do there will be a secret report and horned lord cattle roundup when the Burning Bush decrees another divinely inspired God-directed attack. There is a glowing gourd of ashes out back. The Beast 666 sees no lack of opportunity for unleashing the solar current directly on already scarred skin, pretending it is not a sin to plunder, tear asunder, and cleave the Priestess on the rack. We are so far gone now that there is no turning back. We might as well get our kicks in before the whole shithouse goes up in fact. How is that for tact? No need for sugar coating the truth when the fundamental theocracy steals the votes before the peasants get to the booth. I can see the imperial ministers proclaiming wildly "an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth" and filling the temple with money machines. Donate your deepest dreams so the deadly fathers and carnival conmen can spend them for you.

We need conversion surfaces rather than converting churches. This diatribe of the dark future is being typed on a solar electric powered computer as the solar electrified fans blows the cooler evening air over my bare skin, a lesser sin against nature, something she might be able to live with. Imagine a surface which both shades the body from the sunlight's harsh glare and turns that glare into pollutionless free electricity. Now we're getting somewhere that the oilmen of god don't want you to know about. Too late. The cat is out of the bag and it's not about to go back.

Here's what she posted to her yahoo groups pagansnightout......

My name is Rhonda Gruber AKA Wicked Lil Witch and I am a Proud Witch. I am currently being persecuted as a Witch by a Lt. Kevin Duke of the Horry County Police Dept. My life and the lives of my family and friends are being threatened and destroyed by this man with the backing of countless other officials.

I was arrested Monday Sept 10th '07 by Lt Duke for Breach of Peace, Child Endangerment/ Neglect and 1st degree Harrassement.

This all began around the end of May '07 from many false police reports from a neighboring family, The Luisettis, who also seemed to think I deserved to be arrested for my religious beliefs. They stated such in their police reports. When this began to become a pattern of filing false reports, we began seeking Police protection FROM them. We were told numerous times that we had no reason to receive their protection, just to ignore them. Yet they continued to file their reports on us. We were told the only we could do is file a Civil Suit. This wouldn't fix the problem for quite awhile if ever.The Police Dept on numerous occasions, even refused to file any reports for us.

We had at one point searched out help from Magistrates in the area. One told us that filing these reports was most definitely something the Police could do something about and that they should but he was fairly certain that they wouldn't. He went on a 10 min rant about it to us. He even took the time to gives us copies of the laws on filing false reports, which we took to this Lt Duke, who after realizing we weren't going to leave his office too easily, Then wrote us report stating that the report from the Luisettis was investigated and the allegations were unfounded and seemed to be stemming from harrassement from the neighbors.

Now Monday, my 16 yr old son was targeted for their harrassment . In the morning the Luisetti's daughter had a young man assualt him at the bus stop. We filed a report that morning. That afternoon another allegation from their daughter that he beat her up Friday on school property which led to his suspension since the school wouldn't investigate it other than her statement and her 2 friend's statements. She would have been getting on the bus at the time while he was on the other side of the building getting a ride from one of his friends. Then as we were sitting in my garage workshop working on getting the suspension investigated by the school board, waiting to see if the death threat my son received was going to take place. The threat came from the Luisetti's daughter getting a young man to "kill" my son due to the beating she received from him. He was supposed to be coming to our house after school. We were then visited by an irrational Lt. Duke as he whipped into our driveway screaming that Spencer was reported to be brandishing and pointing an assault rifle at the Luisettis. Which isn't even close to what he was doing. Duke then stated that is is tired of all this and someone is going to jail. He didn't care to hear anything we had to to say about our side. Anytime I was trying to say something I was told to shut up or be arrested. He was VERY aggressive and yelling. He seemed to trying to provoke an altercation. I freely admit I was upset and a little loud but I was trying to defend my son. I was never violent or out of control. I was just pissed and trying to make some sense out of the situation. When I was told to shut up I did which seemed to further anger Duke. I was only arrested after they put the cuffs on my son. I then told my Husband to find a f...ing attorney and quick. This was when they arrested me.

I was never read my Miranda Rights to this day but the questions they asked me were used in my arrest. Doesn't seem legal to me...

My charges of Child Endangerment were due to the fact that we have several legal weapons around a minor. I must inform you my son is an ROTC member with Marine Boot Camp training in weapons, can disassemble/ reassemble an M16 on the field. He was also on the Rifle Team last year and is Athletics Team Commander. He also knew our weapons, from target shooting and cleaning. He even pointed out to the Police Weapons Expert how to release the clip and open the bolt chamber as they couldn't. He is very safe and well versed in weapons. I must point point that is legally old enough to have a hunting license. He is also looking to join the National Guard on his 17th B-Day, Oct 3rd this yr. Upon his 18th B-Day he was planning a Military career. We are proud of him and is a really good person. We are very upset with all the things being alleged about him.

To summarize:
We are being persecuted because of my spiritual choices, not being Christian. Lt. Duke has a web page stating his religious beliefs and infertility and adoption problems which leads us to the belief that he can no longer separate his personal feelings from his ability to do his job in an objective manner. He seems to have appointed himself as a personal victim's advocate for allegedly neglected and abused children.

The fact that I am a practicing witch is being noted in complaints and warrants against me and my family. It has even been voiced in court along with allegations stating I have cast spells on 2 cops and the luisetti family by the solicitor during proceedings. My familiar pyewacket seems to have been mishandled during the search of our home. She was running and flinching from us the day after. I am very hurt by this. Though this can't be proven, I know my animal and this is not her normal behavior.

We have always tried to help others and be good people, so this is very hard for us to deal with. I am lucky to have a very strong supportive circle of friends and family or we would still be in jail. My in-laws had to take the majority of their retirement fund for some 20 thousand dollars to hire a powerful law firm to help us. Though I will never be ashamed of being a witch, I am so very sorry for all the trouble and loss of money it has cost them to stand up for us.

The reason for this letter is that we need all the help we can find to fight this. Whether it is positive protective energy, advice, or donations to help pay for this. I will not rest until I have made a difference for all that believe in freedom of religion. I don't want this to just disappear, I want to make a stand for all free thinkers against persecution. We all know the squeaky wheel gets the oil.

For all that believe in freedom of choice, please stand behind me or even beside me in court while I fight. I am not a quitter and I have a loud voice. I always stand up for what I believe in, all I ask is to not have to stand alone in this. It's time to fight for what we all believe in, not just lie down and take it. I have enclosed the papers that are in my possession to prove my claims. I will include more as they come into my possession. I am not easily scared although they are trying to intimidate us. Threatening phone calls have been made to family and friends even now. In supporting us, you are also supporting yourselves.

We are looking to get this story out to as many places as possible. The more people who are aware the harder it will be for them to get aware with it!

You Will Need:

* Black Candle [Cleansed]
* Anointing Oil [Blessed]
* Optional: 9' Cord

Take a black candle, which has been ritually cleansed, and some anointing oil, which has also been ritually blessed.

Do not use anything for this, which has not been cleansed or blessed already.

Depending on the desired result, you should choose an oil which corresponds to this end.

At the time of the new moon, or when it first begins to wane, cast a circle or use your 9' cord to create a sacred space.

Place the black candle (preferable a taper) on the altar with the oil.

Have no unblessed/uncleansed tools in this ritual.

Cast the circle. Call the Goddess and her consort. Use a burin to engrave the candle with the spell you wish to cast.

Now, anoint the candle using the oil. While you anoint the candle with the oil, speak these words out loud or silently:

"Tonight no moon, tomorrow the first one. Let this be eroded 'til my will be done. Candle burn down to remove all ill. Let this spell be cast by the power of my will."

And once you have anointed the candle, place it in a safe place to it can burn down completely

Help with group rite

Hi there!
So my friends have been requesting me to allow them to participate in my full moon rites so yesterday we had a group rite. I basically did my usual thing and they helped purify the circle and chant and they all cant wait until the next full moon. What else can I do to involve the rest of the group? It's a small group so far, just 4 people, 5 including myself. I mean, the priestess casts the circle, calls the Guardians and invokes the Goddess. Then we chanted and meditated. What else is there that the participants other than the priestess can do? I've racked my brains and come up empty. Help!

Green WitchCraft Group Forming

Hi I'm Robn 46 yrs old though I have been connected to several different circles, I am a Gay man, who recently relocated across the Bay from San Francisco, and found a Green wicca group on Yahoo, unfortunately after a few meeting just as we were finding cohesion, our facilitator had to to move up to the Sierras, and so myself and two other folks were left with the descision, wether to continue, or disband, we are therefore seeking other folks to be a part of our experiment, of holding honor to the natural path and lunor cycles, but try or best not to become a dogamtic group
we intend to remain a communal working, where no one ever is a leader, on a permanant basis, though each individual, takes on the role when ready , we seek a knowledge of a universal organic, approuch to Spirituality,
meaning, all cultures, views of deity, and communion with it.
Tommorow evening at 7.P.M., we will be holding the second meetup of our group location

Burn during Wiccan ceremonies on Mabon (the Autumnal
Equinox, circa September 21st), or at that time to attune
with the change of the seasons.

(This 'Mabon Incense' recipe is from "The Complete Book of
Incense, Oils & Brews" by Scott Cunningham, Llewellyn
Publications, 1989)

45 drops Honeysuckle Oil

1 cup dried Rosebuds and Petals
1/2 cup dried Pine Needles
1 tablespoon Sage

Mix the honeysuckle oil with the oak moss and then add
the remaining ingredients. Stir the potpourri well and store
in a tightly covered ceramic or glass container.

Celebrating Mabon

Altar and Home: It is appropriate to decorate your altar and home
with traditional Autumn colors of gold, orange, red, and brown.
Decorations might include pumpkins grouped on the doorstep, dried
flowers and wheat attractively arranged in a stone vase, Indian
corn hung from the front door, fall leaves scattered across the
altar, and baskets of apples.

Fresh Apple Candle Holders: Apples can be easily made into clever
candle holders by making a circular cut into the stem area and
hollowing out a space big enough to hold a votive candle. Place
the candle snugly in the hole and light. This decoration is
especially appropriate because apples are sacred to Pagans for the
pentacle shaped arrangement of the seeds inside. To see this for
yourself, slice an apple in half from side to side rather than from
top to bottom.

Mabon Thanksgiving Dinner: To remember and honor the harvest,
Mabon is designated as the Witches' Thanksgiving. Gather friends
and family on the Equinox for a harvest celebrations in grand
proportions. Serve roasted squash or turkey; mashed potatoes;
fresh whole grain bread; vegetables; corn bread stuffing; cranberry
sauce; pumpkin pie; hot spiced cider; and wine.

Gourd Rattle: It is easy and fun to make a dried gourd rattle.
Follow these easy instructions: allow the gourd to dry completely;
drill a hole in the area opposite the stem; pull out the fiberous
material inside with tweezers; fill with a few dried beans; glue in
a stick that fits the hole for a handle; and decorate if desired.
This instrument can then be used for ritual, private meditation, or
drumming circles.

Gourd Dipper: To make a gourd dipper, take a fresh gourd; slice
off an area to be left open for dipping; scrape the insides clean;
and allow to dry in a place protected from insects and high
humidity. The dipper can then be used for scooping grain, herbs,
seeds, incense, or other magickal items.

Hayrides: Organize or attend an old-fashioned hayride to honor
and celebrate the harvest.

Harvest Platter: Choose a large platter on which to form this
centerpiece. Arrange dried or silk leaves, pieces of wheat, nuts,
small Indian corn, small gourds, sugar pumpkins, and candles
together on the platter. This centerpiece can be lit before each
meal to remind all those gathered around the table that the final
harvest is near.

Asking for help and advice

Hello everyone. I've read several posts here, and everyone seems well rounded and actually intelligent. I'm not going to give you a lot of fluff, but this is my situation:

My ex-husband is suing me for custody of my children. Why post in this forum, you might ask. Well, his main basis for taking me to court is that I am a witch, and he's going to "prove" that I belong to a cult, and that my religious practices are harmful to our children.

This whole process is devastating and fills me with the most extreme terror.

I'm not at all in the closet, on the contrary, most of our small farming community knows exactly how I beleive and I have an online busness offering to cast for the public - no flaming please, I know it's a bit ludicrous, but at least I have some standards, oh hell...that's another topic anyway. My ex says that he's going to use the media to show that he's a christian upstanding police officer, and I'm a satanist witch, and he's trying to get custody of his children - ain't that sweet? My children both wish to stay with me, they are 11 & 14, because he is verbally abusive on a regular basis. He says things like "So, will you kids be summoning demons from hell this Easter?" and he calls our daughter "fat", and tells my son not to come running to him when he "knocks up his first little slut".

Anyway, my attorney says that I have everything on my side, I'm the primary parent with full custody now, my ex signed all religious rights of the children over to me two years ago, and I've been pagan for about 6 years, two years before our divorce. Also, he NEVER sees the kids, even though he's supposed to see them on his days off. My kids call him all the time to ask when they can see him, and he makes promises but never delivers. He's a real jerk that way.

Anyway, the ACLU does not assist in child custody cases. My local community is bible belt conservative christian, and my ex is a police officer that actually knows and works regularly with the judge.
I'm terrified, even though my attorney says I've got it in the bag.
If anyone can offer a kind word, advice, or a phone number to call for pagan legal advice, I'd be so very grateful. Thank you for reading this, and many blessings to you all.

J-seal Removal Healing Facilitation is a specialized method of permanently removing on all levels of ones' multidimensional anatomy what are known as the 7 Unnatural Jehovian Seals and other unnatural seals and implants that are within our mind-body-spirit system. How do these seals in the Earth's grids affect people living on the Earth?

It is important to understand that the Earth and our bodies are built energetically the same way and that we are directly connected to the Earth. Knowledge of 15th dimensional anatomy, the structure of the 12 strand DNA template, Kathara Grid, chakras, meridians, axiatonal lines, star and seed crystal seals are important to be able to understand this. What does Revelations in the Bible say about these?

All religious texts have been manipulated in this way for over 11,000 years and people have been warring and killing each other on behalf of the self-promoted false "vengeful Gods" depicted in these texts. The reality of planetary and personal grid physics that we currently face can be best understood by decoding portions of the Biblical Revelations story - the truths and the contrived agendas hidden within this Jehovian written intended dominion schedule. It is important to understand the real meaning of the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" , the "Seven Seals", and the "Seven Angels with Seven Trumpets".

The "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse" refers to Horsemen that are released upon the Earth to begin delivery of the "wrath of God (Jehovah)", with "opening" of the first four of Seven Seals. Seals numbers 1 and 2 opened in May 2001, releasing the "White Horseman" and the "Red Horseman". Seal number 3 opened in July 2001, setting the "Black Horseman" free, and Seal number 4 opened in January 2002, releasing the ominous "Pale Horse". And the Lamb opened the Second Seal....and behold a Red Horse, ....its rider given the power to take peace from the Earth and to make men slay each other; and he was given a mighty sword (swords in the Bible refer to specific photo-radionic light frequencies). And the Lamb opened the Third Seal.... and behold a Black Horse, its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand (refers to the Libra constellation and symbolically to the "weighing of Earth's frequencies"....When the Lamb opened the Fourth Seal..... and behold a Pale Horse.....its rider was named Death, and Hell (the "Pit" of the Phantom Matrix Black Hole System) followed close behind. They were given the power over the 4th part of the Earth (refers to the Dimension 4 Astral Plane of Earth's planetary anatomy) to kill by sword, famine, and plague and by the wild beasts of the Earth.....When the Sixth Seal opened there was a great Earthquake, the sun turned black,...the moon turned red (a visual anomaly that naturally occurs when Earth passes into the 3 day particle conversion period of a Stellar Activation Cycle). The Seventh Seal promised to set loose the "Seven Angels with Seven Trumpets, and by the time the "Third Angel sounds the Third Trumpet", "a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on the third part (refers to the Dimension 3 reality plane, where we all presently live) of the rivers....and the name of the star was Wormwood. The "Trumpets" are actually advanced sub-space sonic wave field technology. Wormwood refers to the Nibiruian Annunaki Battlestar "Wormwood", which the Jehovian Annunaki intented to "knock out of the sky" with their unholy "Trumpets".

In Revelations, the "Four Horses" have "Riders". The "Four Horsemen", each supposedly "given the power by God" (aka Jehovian Annunaki) to do certain very unpleasant things to the peoples of Earth. "God" did not give these "Horsemen" such power or privelige; the Jehovian Annunaki gave themselves the unholy permission while appointing themselves "in the minds of man" as "God". The "Four Horsemen" are the "frequencies of the first four Jehovian Seals that would ride upon and direct the frequencies of Earth's natural carrier waves, the "horses". The Jehovian frequencies would automatically emerge with the release of each corresponding natural Seal, due to the Jehovian implants, or "Angels", placed relative to the natural Seals. The Jehovians knew that the "Horsemen" would bring death and destruction, just as the Jehovian Annunaki intended them to do so.

When did the J-seals start opening?

The seals started opening as follows:

J-seal 1 - Top of the Skull (May 2001)
J-seal 2 - Heart, Left lung, Left Knee Rear (May 2001)
J-seal 3 - Pineal Gland (July 2001)
J-seal 4 - Left side of neck and lymphatics (January 2002)
J-seal 5 - Rear left thigh and buttocks (January 2002)

pagan 12 step program

substance, or alcohol abuse problem...i found in the pagan community
that addiction runs rampid, and theres this thought that if your
witchcraft if done right you dont need a recovery program...well i
found that my magickal and spiritual energy has been inhanced greatly
using this program..im in recovery for alcohol, and go to A.A.
meetings regulary, and carry the message of the Goddess in what i

Advice on cleansing used decks or removing energy from items.....

Howdy all. I haven't posted for a while but I have questions about various cleansing techniques.
1. I just bought my first used deck of tarot cards & while they don't have bad vibes I'd feel better removing any energy the previous owner might have left on them.
2. While in the Haight the other day my boyfriend was "accosted" by someone who was not only a "few fries short of a happy meal," but had really disturbing energy. She kept grabbing his Lakshmi /Ohm pendant. It feels a little violated so I want to cleanse it too.
Any suggestions?
I have been told leaving cards or items out during the full moon (which is Monday) covered in sea salt works. I have also been told to do a banishing spell during the waning moon. What's best. Anything specific I should do? I'd be grateful for any input!

I wasnt sure where to post this so I thought here was as good as any. I've been focusing on the Goddess too much and have been rapped on the head by GOd in the form of Krishna. I dont know much about Krishna though. I know He is supposed to be playful and bewitching but that's about all I know. I always feel that when a certain God or Goddess makes Himself or Herself known to me, there is something I need to learn from that incarnation of the Divine. BUt searching for info on Krishna has proven difficult. All I can find are mantras or that story on the milkmaids and not much else. I know Krishna isnt a very "Wiccan" or "Witchy" God but I believe the Divine shows me what and who I need to see. Any thought, suggestions, comments?

I am starting to organize a story that is a morality play or sorts for my 6 year old Godson, whom I coparent. It will include a yound man setting off in the world and encountering archetypal beings and situations that engage him and end up teaching him somthing essential about living a fulfilling life. the main character will be discussing these situations and beings with a wise person from time to time. I am an artist. You can see some of my work on my profile pics. I will be doing a photo shoot (B&W infrareds) for every chapter in the story. I will be compiling the story and images into a small, hand bound book. I'l make about 100 editions of the book.

What I need help on is the story:
* What do you think the most important things are to learn and integrate to live a fulfilling life?
* What are the best ways to deal with disapointment and loss, with death?
* What are the most essential archetypal situations that teach us the most about living a fulfilling life?
* What archetypal characters teach us the most about living a connected, passionate, and loving life?
* What situations would you create to teach the main Character the foundations of a connected, passionate, and loving life?

tasseography

Are any of you versed in reading tea leaves? I've recently aquired a couple of neat tea cups quite suitable for tasseography, but the tea I purchased is less than suitable. I tried some loose Lipton tea leaves. Not only were they gross, the leaves were so irregular that they all slopped out of the cup, onto the saucer! NOT good reading material! Do any of you have suggestions on a particular type of tea? It would be especially appreciated if it were a tea that I could get at a local grocer! Thanks for any advice or tips!

age limits for wicca--stolen from myspace

I just finished reading a pretty extensive and somewhat heated thread on myspace about there being an "age iimit" for being a wiccan. It was apparently (as ususal) a comment gone wrong. The maker of said comment refered to covens that keep their practice secret have their practitioners enter into a binding agreement that they will not release coven information to anyone outside, and since only a legal adult can enter into a contract...one must technically be 18. There was also the mention of sexual practices at some rites.
The counter points varied between people mentioning allowing their children to participate and a demand for documented cases about parents who didn't want their children taught a religion. There was only one post at the very end even bringing up solitary practitioners.

SOOOO, my question is....does anyone here agree with the statement that there is an age limit for wiccans? Or is it simply a small rule used by some covens for whatever legal protection they might require because of some ritual pratices??

Blessing Space

Physical space acts like a sponge, absorbing the radiant of all who pass through it. And, more likely than not, the spaces we move through each day have seen many people come and go. We have no way of knowing whether the energy footprints left behind by those who preceded us will invigorate us or drain us. Yet we can control the energy footprint we leave behind for others. Law of Harmony

Laws are the dictates of nature. When adhered to, they produce harmony. Human laws ideally ought to reflect laws of nature. When they don't, then disharmony is created.

When we think of harmony we typically think of music, as this is a clearly seen, or heard, expression of harmony. When sounds are harmonious they are pleasing to us. When notes are combined in different ways they can produce chords, which are used to produce pieces of music we can enjoy together. What is interesting about this example is that for a chord to be produced from a combination of notes, each note must contribute to that formation. Otherwise, discord results from the disharmony.

When a note 'disregards' the whole of which it is a part and does its own thing, discord results. When an individual disregards others and is focused just on doing his or her own thing, disharmony is often created. Just as the note finds its true value in relation to what it contributes, so too humans find their personal value and deeper satisfaction in their contribution to others.

This contribution does not imply conformity, however. When we conform we lose our individuality and our personal uniqueness and value. It is this unique value which is our most precious contribution to others.

Harmony implies that a living thing, including you and me, must contribute in a way that augments (we often say, empowers) others if harmony is to be created. What empowers are those universal qualities we have within ourselves that others need to have supported or awakened within themselves.

When the question of harmony is considered there are always two realities - individuals and a collection of individuals, be they notes, people, animals, etc. A collection of individual humans can be called a community. There are many words in different languages that relate to this fundamental reality of human nature - words like community, commune, communication, communion, common, the commons, commonwealth, and commonweal.

The principle law governing community is the Law of Harmony. A community is a natural reality, and the Law of Harmony is a natural universal law. One of the greatest difficulties we have on the planet is existence of communities in conflict. We have a real need to attempt to create more harmonious communities. Our ability to express ourselves adequately and fulfill our purpose for being depends upon it.

Community is an externalization of the reality we call soul. Literally, a community is a group of individuals living in unity. Most people do not think of unity when they think of community, seeing it more as a collection of individuals who happen to be together. When a community does not live in unity, the soul of the community is denied, and therefore unconditional love, which is the essence of soul, is thwarted. This deprivation of connection and acceptance, easily leads to fear, mistrust, isolation, and in many cases also to racism, hatred and war.

Unity is not uniformity. It therefore does not require conformity. Unity is a state of consciousness and therefore respects diversity of form and expression. It suggests unanimity, which means to be of one spirit or one soul. It is an inner identification with the other as oneself. We could say that it is the soul within recognizing itself in the other. For at a soul level we are one.

Harmony produces harmonics. These are resonances in other octaves. What this means psychologically and spiritually is that when harmony is present those experiencing it open themselves automatically to other dimensions of reality and other levels of their own being. Harmony awakens potentials and expands consciousness, bringing into expression through individuals such qualities as respect, acceptance, tolerance, understanding, empathy, compassion and unanimity.

Harmony awakens the soul and soul creates a community of people who live together creatively and purposefully through which the very best in human nature can unfold.

My screams are those of a thousand men and my voice pierces like notes of rising and falling waves of the sea and it always announces a mortal's death...

Just before a mortal's death…I appear at night in front of their dwelling, wailing and weeping foretelling them of their fate…

If a mortal sees me, I can not harm them, unless I start to scream and it means their own death.

If a mortal is able to catch me, I am more then obliged to tell them who is going to die this day...For I may tell them it is there own...

I only appear in front of and foretell all those of royalty of their time of death and my cries can be heard throughout Ireland for those of Irish Nobility.

I am a shape shifter who can come in many forms…one of my form is of the raven, as the raven I hover over the mortals screaming of their death or I fly next to them foretelling them of their fate…I can appear as a young beautiful woman dressed in white…or as an old hag dressed in death shrouds…which ever form I choose, just beware it will be me…

Beware of my screams if you hear them, death is here…for mortals fear me...for I am what comes at then end of the cycle of human life...I have knowledge of the fate of humanity…and I am a prophetess for all those who are destined to die…I am the Banshee…and I may come for you!

I have an msn group called BroomCloset, its been up for a few years now and there are about 50 members...with one problem...No one TALKS >_< I don't understand it. I try to post, stir debate and get suggestions for the group but there's just NO feedback. Wtf?

I won't bore you with a history lesson of my life and witchcraft, other than to say that I was raised in it and have lived it all my life. I read the posts about people seeking spells, charms, 10 easy ways to become a priestess, and so forth, and can't help but wonder: How many people woke up this morning and decided they wanted to be a witch today?

I'm not bashing ANYONE here, so don't get your panties in a bunch over this. It just amuses me to see self-proclaimed priestesses, warlocks, wizards, grand poo-nannies and any other titles which are all glamourized by "Charmed", "Practical Magic" and, my favorite, "The Craft". It seems an entire nation chose to pick up a book on witchcraft and, as a result, there are more priestesses on the globe now than in the history of mankind. Ironically, a priestess is empowered by those who believe in her and follow her path...so unless she's started a coven of sisters and brothers...who's to know?

And then there are the spells, charms, gris gris, voodoo, hoo doo, and so forth. Can you seriously believe that a spell written by another person is going to be effective for you? ~New Age Witchcraft at it's finest, no doubt.

I live and practice traditions and beliefs taught to me by my ancestors. No need for a lineage lesson here, because my beliefs and yours are not the same, so the point would be moot. However, I don't see the goth look, the thousands of dollars spent in the witch shops and bookstores, the need to give oneself a self-proclaimed title of anything other than "human being" , or the bumper stickers with the goddess images on them as anything more than a pitiful cry to be noticed. Want to get noticed? Do something in life that does something for others. Pass it forth.

Witchcraft is just that...the craft of the witch. It is not something that should be taken lightly, nor dabbled with, nor should one profess to BE something that they do not LIVE.

Those seeking a title to bonify their existence in the realm of witchcraft should best come to terms with the meaning and purpose behind such a title, and also be warned: "Careful what you wish for, you just might get it".

Choosing witchcraft as a "path" of life means so much more than lighting fires and dancing around in pretty robes and burning stinky stuff and chanting gibberish. It is not something that gives you the divine right to bash other's beliefs, nor claim your own as supreme. It is simply a choice that you make for yourself. So...those seeking to be a pretty witch with the ability to shoot sparks from your fingertips and light candles from across the room...Hollywood is due west.

It is said to be the fifth and highest element after Air, Earth, Fire and water. It was believed to be the substance composing all heavenly bodies.

HOW IS IT BEING DESTROYED?
Put simply… Cell phones.
The disturbances from Text messages and phone calls to and from cell phones are destroying the electro-magnetic phenomena, we attribute to “Heavenly Bodies” (the ether) also known as Ghosts.

THE EVIDENCE
Since the advent of Cell Phones, the number of ghost sightings and paranormal experiences referring to “Ghosts” and the like, have slowly gone.
Certain Paranormal and Psychical researchers have reported their numbers over the past three years, going from two new ghosts a day, to near none, and even none what so ever.
The Electronic disturbances from Cell Phones are destroying what Scientists say are the Electronic disturbances which create these entities, these phenomena.
With the rate of cell phone growth always on the rise, will our “Caspers” and others be destroyed? Will those haunted buildings, which we all want to visit, Occultists, Scientists, Skeptics, Children, Adults, Teenagers, everyone, just disappear?
Will our ghost stories become text messages?
For many people, myself included, the idea of this phenomena disappearing, before an answer, is disturbing and saddening.
I myself have cast my cell phone aside, even though one wont make much a difference, it is a start. I call to all whom are interested in the study, communication or just want to experience this phenomena, to do that same, or limit their cell phone usage.
A young occultist such as myself, nearly cries at the idea of this phenomena becoming no more. I have noticed the decline myself, when going into “so-called” haunted houses, I was told of three years after the people experienced, and having not heard a report of an experience of the like since then, by any other occupants.

CLOSING THOUGHTS
This could in theory affect Christians; Angels are Heavenly Bodies.
Wiccans, Muslims, Jews, everybody with a belief in a God or Gods, or a belief in a soul, spirit or life after death, will all be affected?
Will our prayers be heard by cell phone companies, instead of God/s?
What are the implications? Will the disturbances from Cell Phones, destroy our soul or spirit before departure from our bodies at death?
Will any hope of Divine Intervention be nevermore?
